I’ve got to confess to a huge mistake I made. It probably cost me a bundle of money. It definitely made my life more difficult than it had to be. You may be making this exact same mistake.

My mistake had to do with Twitter.

When I first heard about Twitter and went to check out the service, I didn’t get it. Worse than that, I thought it was ridiculous.

All I saw was a bunch of people posting nonsense like:

“I made a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for lunch.”

“Another repeat of ‘Friends’ last night.”

“I’m going to take a nap.”

What the heck was the big draw? Didn’t these people have better ways to spend their time?

Then I learned the truth about Twitter. I learned how powerful it can be as a marketing and publicity tool. As I was learning the truth, it all made sense.

Sure, there’s a huge number of people wasting time on Twitter. But the smart people are quietly cleaning up! Getting publicity,
making sales, getting subscribers, building brands.

So on February 15, 2009 I started using Twitter. I had zero subscribers (they’re called ‘Followers’ on Twitter). I started like everyone else – at ground zero. But I had learned how to *really* use Twitter. So I was on my way.

By February 28, only 13 days later, traffic to my blog had increased by 376% – more than Triple!

I also started to get subscribers. As of today, slightly four weeks after I started, I have 3,894 subscribers (or Followers) to my marketing and publicity messages. Every single day, without fail, I get more followers. Over 100 per day. And it doesn’t cost me a dime.

I don’t want you to make the same costly mistake I made. So I put up a website with more information. I’m making simple, clear instructional videos available. It’s at:

Using Twitter To Get Publicity, Sales and Traffic

If you’re on Twitter and you’re not using it the right way to get publicity, to get sales, to build your list, you’re wasting your time.

If you’re not on Twitter at all – well, you’re missing out on the whole parade.

Using Twitter To Get Publicity, Sales and Traffic

Go to that website, get the videos, by later today you can be up and running on Twitter – the RIGHT way.

But let me give you one caution. Twitter is young. It’s like the Wild West on Twitter right now. I have no idea how long this will last. So jump on it NOW.

Using Twitter is a breeze. It take me less than 30 seconds to post a message and get it all over my network. So don’t think this will be sucking up more of your time.

OK, that’s it for now. I’ve got to send out another Twitter message and drive more traffic to my websites. What will you be doing?
