No, it wasn’t the stock market.

Nope, not gold either.

Nah, it had nothing to do with real estate.

I did far better than any of them.

I invested in…myself.

Just this month alone, I spent $11,000 on other people’s products, seminars, coaching, etc. And I was thrilled to spend that money, because the return to me is going to be far better than the best year the stock market, gold or real estate ever had.

I don’t hesitate to pay people to show me how to do what they took years to learn. I can’t think of a better way to invest my money.

You may say: “Well, Paul, you HAVE the money to spend $11,000 on other people’s products.”

You’re right, I do. But I didn’t always have it.

I started years ago by purchasing $3 special reports from a marketing expert. I’d send away my $3 and wait for the response. Sure enough, a week or so later I’d get 5 or 6 pages back in the mail.

But every one of those pages was filled with information I was able to use to build my income. (I still have those original reports – I treasure them and what they’ve meant to me.)

As my income grew, so did my willingness to spend the money I was earning to learn more.

And it grew and grew and grew.

Every once in a while I go to a popular discussion board – probably just to annoy myself.

On this board I see little more than people spending hours A DAY posting questions asking where they can get free critiques, or free software or even free legal advice.

I see people making 5, 6, 7 and more posts a day.

I’m no mind reader, but I can pretty accurately tell you what their life is like.

If you are one of those freebie seekers, cut it out. Put more value on your time. Have more respect for yourself.

Search out the people who know what they’re talking about – and who’ve proven it. Then invest in yourself – buy their products, learn what they know and then, most importantly, put it into action.

And there’s the rub. So many people spend a fortune on information products, but they never do anything – except talk about how they aren’t living their dream.

Let me be crystal clear about one thing – I AM LIVING MY DREAM!

I can’t think of anything I’m lacking.

Some may say I have a blessed life.

I say I have a life I’ve earned and deserve.

There’s no reason you can’t do the exact same thing.

There are only a few hours left in 2007. Tomorrow is the traditional day to make new resolutions.

Be sure that one of your resolutions is to invest in yourself. Invest in your education and training. Success on- or offline is impossible without it.

To be more clear on that last comment – it is 100% impossible to be successful at ANYTHING without outside help.

So here I am at the end of the day, at the end of the month, at the end of the year. I’m going to spend some of that time looking for more ways to invest in myself.

Hope you do the same.

Happy New Year. Here’s to your great life.
