One of the easiest ways of getting publicity for your retail business or professional office is to offer to make your location a drop-off point for Toys For Tots, food for the needy, etc.  One of my members, Rob Russell, did just that and wound up with a publicity jackpot.

 

Rob’s auto service station is the Toys For Tots drop-off spot for his area.  In return for his community service, Rob was rewarded with a big article about the drop-off, about Rob and his business and a big ol’ photo of Rob and Santa on one of the town’s fire trucks.

 

Whenever you offer a community service, your chances of getting publicity for your good deeds – and your business – are very good. This also automatically puts a golden halo over your head as far as the community is concerned.
